General Assistance General Assistance provides temporary assistance to low income Jasper County residents who are ineligible for, or awaiting approval from Federal or State assistance programs. This assistance is provided in the form of a loan. To qualify a person must: Be a resident of Jasper County Be at least 18 years of age Meet current income and resource guidelines Types of Assistance One time emergency assistance Assistance for persons applying for Social Security Disability Services provided: Rent Utilities Certain Medications Referrals for Food, Clothing and Personal needs Burial

i'm in need of rent assistance. i receive disability and ssi. i had a recent substancial decrease in household income. I'm also a single parent of a 11 yr old son which i have part time.
