Homeless ness prevention grant: The Homelessness Prevention Grant provides extraordinary financial assistance to families with children at risk of losing their home due to financial or other crises. The Homelessness Authority is authorized to provide these grants annually to leading agencies for the local 28 homeless continuum care planning areas in the state. Only these agencies can apply, using the application form provided below. The intent of this program is to provide case management and financial assistance for rent arrears or mortgage payments and arrears to keep the family stable housed after receiving the assistance.
