The Gila Bend Community Action Program (C.A.P) is a program that provides direct financial assistance for payments for utilities and municipal deposits. CAP also works with clients who need help paying their rent or mortgage to prevent homelessness. A holistic approach is taken as they focus on case management. Short-term emergency services such as emergency food boxes and transfers to food stamps and unemployment benefits are provided, as are long-term solutions such as transfers to vocational training and employment or transfers due to disability for those who cannot work. They utilize a variety of tools to help their clients achieve their goals, from direct emergency financial assistance to, for example, weatherizing your house. Transportation assistance is provided to link your clients to employment, medical care, and other social service needs. Hours of Operation: Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
